Abstract :
I had the opportunity to realize my project at the Universitaria Politécnica San
Sebastian in Spain. The purpose of the project was to develop an automated
bottle manufacturing process. This had to be realized using an Omron PLC
(SJ1M/CPU22) and an encoder which was assembled on a motor of the conveyor
belt. The program was created with CX programmer and the visualization with CX
supervisor. This created the possibility to monitor and control the production
process and when needed react accordingly.
The bottles which are placed on the conveyor belt will stop every time the PLC
reaches a predefined amount of pulses from the encoder.
The bottles are going to be filled, sealed, labeled and checked if the label is placed
properly. When an action is completed a signal will be send to the PLC and it will
restart the conveyor belt. At the end of the cycle the bottle will be transported to a
packing department where it will be packed per 8 bottles per pack.
